James Baughman, QP (SME-RM), PG is a seasoned geologist and corporate executive with over three decades of experience directing technical and commercial initiatives for mining and mineral exploration companies in the United States and internationally.
Mr. Baughman is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of High Plains Uranium, which he successfully guided to a US$55 million acquisition by Uranium One in 2006. His career spans the advancement of mineral projects from grassroots discovery to advanced development across a diverse range of commodities, including gold, copper, base metals, uranium, rare earth elements, and other critical minerals.
He has held multiple senior leadership positions—such as Chief Geologist, Chairman, President,
Acting CFO, and COO—in both private and publicly traded companies.
Mr. Baughman is a Registered Member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME-RM) and a member of the Society of Economic Geologists. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Wyoming (1983) and is a licensed Professional Geologist in the State of Wyoming. He is also recognized as a Qualified Person (QP) under the listing requirements of both the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).
